Comments Thread For: Canelo Eager To Prove WBO Prez's Prediction of Mayweather KO

During last week's WBO convention in Puerto Rico - Francisco 'Paco' Valcarcel, the president of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), made a very bold prediction - stating that Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (48-1-1, 34KOs) would knock Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26KOs) out in a rematch.

I don't buy that drained BS at all. That fight against Floyd was one of the few times Canelo didn't fade late. He weighed 154 against Trout and looked dead after the 7th.

The fight would sell better than the first one as people would think Floyd has taken too much time off and aged and would love to see him lose.

He knows Mayweather wont KO him and is much older now. Fight GGG and prove ur the best. Or fight any top 154 that not many will buy.

If Canelo beats GGG, I guarantee Mayweather would take this fight at 154

"Mayweather won a twelve round unanimous decision, handing Canelo his only career defeat back in September of 2013 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather had a few issues in winning a one-sided twelve round decision".

                ......

God the decision was such BS even Boxingscene forgot it was a Majority Decision....

Floyd needs 3 more years off for a KO to be thought about. Its closer fight now

I have no interest in Floyd coming back myself. Even if he did beat him it would be a very hollow victory.

I do feel like Eddie Hearn has intimated that Floyd probably looked at Danny Garcia but the air has completely gone out of his career.
