If Canelo wanted to fight GGG, why didn't Oscar make an offer like that - $10million, at 160 - when Canelo was the WBC MW champion and GGG was his mando, instead of relinquishing the belt and running away?

The purse split for WBC regular vs super champ is 70/30 now.

But even if it had still been 55/45, that doesn't mean Canelo couldn't have made that offer to GGG.

If he'd made it, and Golovkin had rejected it, that would have been a much better look for Canelo than just vacating without making any offer at all.

The offer wasn't made because GGG would have taken it in a heart beat and Canelo doesn't want to fight GGG till he's over the hill, and you know it.
