The purse split for WBC regular vs super champ is 70/30 now.

But even if it had still been 55/45, that doesn't mean Canelo couldn't have made that offer to GGG.

If he'd made it, and Golovkin had rejected it, that would have been a much better look for Canelo than just vacating without making any offer at all.

The offer wasn't made because GGG would have taken it in a heart beat and Canelo doesn't want to fight GGG till he's over the hill, and you know it.

The purse split for for WBC interim vs champion is no longer 55/45. But even if it had been 50/50 on a purse bid, that wouldn't have prevented Canelo from making that offer to GGG, and GGG would know that if he rejected it - no fight.

The situation now is different than it was back then. Canelo is no longer the champ - Golovkin is! Had you forgotten about that?

And the fight would have happened next, immediately. No "Sept 2017 at the earliest" bullcrap - right then!

Just relax folks. This little tidbit is all part of stategy to keep people all a dither about this fight. Next will be something ****** from Abel Sanchez to stoke interest, then some cryptic remarks from DLH again, then something whinny from Golvkin, and so on. The fight will be made at some point, or not made. It is not likely that Golovkin will lose until he moves up to 168, but Canelo could very well lose to the first 160 pounder he faces, then no one will pay $5 to see them fight each other.

So you think ggg should sign for ten million now and not even try to get tens of millions, even though it's highly likely he will get a better deal.He should just sit back quietly wait until Canelo fights him in September, hoping that Mr. "Ginger headed I'm a MW Mexican who doesn't **** around here have my belt" can man up.

You think ggg should accept a deal now for a fight damn near a year away and not negotiate himself a better deal. I HIGHLY doubt that GGG vs. Canelo would do that good??? Even if it does that good that's about a 80/20 split with GGG... Maybe they should throw in another $1.75 Million and give GGG a 75/25 split like offered to Jacobs???

Don't forget the networks take 1/2 off 1st...

The WBA enforced that split when no agreement had been reached. **** it. Inactivity and zero drawing power have hampered Jacobs.
