Not a good time to be a Haymon fighter if money is all your sole reason of leaving Arum. Rios and Mikey were already getting an average of $900K per fight. Mikey's first fight with Haymon earned him a mere $200K or something. At least, Rios left not because he was ducking somebody. Mikey left because he was asked to fight Gamboa.

BoxingScene.com has received confirmation that former world champion Brandon Rios is no longer bound to a promotional agreement with Top Rank. The contract was set to expire in December, but it appears that some form of a mutual agreement was reached to allow Rios to break away earlier.

He better manage these paydays better than he did the Pacquaio money. This is the retirement stretch unless he can miraculously pull of an upset and catapult himself back to headline status. Hell get fed to the loser of Garcia vs Thurman though, I could see Haymon trying to go for the P.R. vs Mexico angle even if Garcia wins.Comment
