Wilder out with injuries because he doesn't know how to throw proper punches. What happened to Thurman and Porter? They have a good fight and then pack it in for the year? A fight that was also postponed? I mean it was a good fight and all, but still, they couldn't have one more fight this year? Either one of them? Garcia's facing more stiff competition and I do mean a stiff. We can't even get Arthur Abraham and Martin Murray? Is Jack and DeGale happening this year or next? Or next?

        This is pretty disheartening.
great post. But people on here will pretend that boxings in some amazing place at the moment with great fights left right and centre, and that we are unreasonable as fans to want to see fights like wlad v joshua, ggg v jacobs, or fighters fighting more than once a year

Here here... who really cares if it's for a world title or not, or if a guy is undefeated, these thing don't really mean much anymore... a good fight is a good fight

Thanks! I do like the new Showtime lineup. If all of those follow through, those should produce some good fights and answer some questions. As a fight fan, we should at least want the best fights to be made. I saw a list of fights for the rest of the year above. I mean, some look okay, but it's not very exciting for me. Luis Ortiz vs. Malik Scott? Huge puncher vs. the guy Wilder took out in one round? Doesn't exactly get me revved up to watch.

It all se ems like talk now, promising fights then not happening.

Wkad has been trading then gets injured. When all you do is train for so long with no fiught your going to get injured.

When they are given the opportunity!. Make a name for yourself (against lesser competition) and then be fed to a protected fighter to enhance his record and keep the moolah rolling in.

Marketing is part of a fighters skillset now, as are PPV numbers apparently. I, like many here are a real fan, but some of the fights you have listed are reaching and shows exactly what poor matchmaking has reduced us to accepting.

Why should promoters and managers and networks bother putting on c level or above fights when fans are willing to pull for their fighter no matter what, as long as his skin colour and nationality matches their own?

We literally have idiots on here rooting for fights that were supposed to happen this year but are actually happening a further 6 months down the line.

                      I'm supposed to applaud that.
