The current crop are far more skilled. Williams and Margarito were just two huge guys that relied on work rate.

I'd favor Margarito, Cotto and Mosley over all of today's
Paul Williams I'd favor slightly due to his leaky defense but it wouldn't surprise me if Thurman ran him into a big shot, as well as Spence.

The first 3 names I mentioned, I'm confident they'd beat all of today's

Todays WW's really haven't done anything at the weight to compare them.

It's hard to imagine today's welterweights dealing very well with prime Cotto, Margarito, and Williams, or slightly past it Mosley. I'm not saying it's impossible for them to win, but it's really hard to imagine. I could see Thurman and Brook doing well against them.

Man, what in the world would Thurman do with Margarito? That's an awful style match-up for him.

Well he can't hurt him for sure. If Prime Pacquiao wasn't able to stun a slightly past it Margo despite 10 flurries in his face, what could Thurman do?

I'd give Thurman a shot against Margarito. His lack of ability to clinch might cost him.

                    Brook would beat him IMO.
