I've read a lot of interesting things about left handers.

I'm right handed but left footed and left eye dominant.

There are plenty of converted southpaws and orthodox.
Barrera, Dela Hoya, Ward and Cotto are converted orthodox.
Manny, Lomachenko and Russell Jr are converted southpaws.

isnt there some historical taboo culture wise in many parts of the world if you are lefthanded?
Really not sure on that one but I know that being left handed isn't "normal" or for lack of a better terminology it's just quite rare.

Why that is I don't know.

i wonder how MAB, Oscar, and cottos careers would have turned out if they fought as natural southpaws instead of being converted....

man can you imagine Ward as a full time southpaw with his style????

my parents tried to do the same to me....

With Marco, Oscar and Cotto i think it was better for them fight as southpaws, since the work a lot with their leads.
But Ward does some pretty stuff as a southpaw.

                  i agree.

oscar was left handed heavy. same with cotto.

it would have been better if they used their dominant hand as the off hand to set up the power shot.

they took the easy way out by converting and thinking they need to use their dominant hand as the jabbing probing hand....

Excuse me i wrote it wrong, i believe Cotto, Barrera and Oscar were good fighting as orthodox.
With Dela Hoya for example, he was having a hell of a jab and his left hook was a great weapon because he would throw it in close range at the same style that Andy Lee uses his right hook, just that he was better with it.
Andre Ward is the fighter that i feel would be great fighting as a southpaw.
