    Zab Judah what went wrong?

This guy had one of the best talent i have seen,,but from Boldomir Fight all went to hell.Idk how he lost to Boldomir(i watched fight just still cant get it),In Cotto fight there was tactical mistakes made,He should win this fight,he was counter punching Cotto and cought him big time 2 times, instead of box he started to fight with Cotto and nobody chilled him in the corner, his father couldnt control him at all,Zab was out of control and lost cuse of stiupid decisions,Do you guys think that Zab could achive more with trainer like Atlas?Teddy would hold him short and Control him in fight, his father was bad trainer for him,or you think that with Zab personality he couldnt be one of the best?Zab let me down big take, i still enjoy couple of his fights,he lost to fighters he should defeat with easy, his carrere is big waste IMO.What went wrong in your opinion guys??

He's not a smart fighter and combined with a weak mentality, he never made the most of his physical gifts.

He is like ODLH and Toney in that his losses aren't because of a lack of skill and ability as much as they are poor decision making in and out of the ring, and irresponsibility.

The guy had potential and to be fair had a good career in the end.

I definitely wouldn't call his career a "big waste", he underachieved for his potential but still achieved more than most who lace them up.

As far sa Atlas goes, I think Atlas gets the best of out his fighters more often than not. I'd love to see many fighters under Atlas.

He did OK he was the man at welterweight and when past prime beat the monster Lucas. He acheived much more than fighters like Froch whom was a paper champ in comparison yet is hailed as some sort of atg.

I think it is cuse he could do much more ,i think big part of it was his father(theyr relationship),he couldnt Cotrol Zab thats why im forcing theory that with Atlas he could be much better,Teddy will push you to the limit and hold you short,he helped Moore became HW champ and his Corner was amazing it this fight, like when he didnt let him sit after raund,Zab needed something like this in Cotto fight ,just my theory.

He made it extremely far. I don't understand why people have this mentality that all but a few boxers "went wrong". To get further than 99.9% of the guys in your profession requires you to do a LOT of things right.

                  -Lack of focus.
-Into too much hoodlum **** outside the ring which can't help & probably leads to lackluster training habits that keeps your career goal ceiling low & slows your forward progress at best.
-Also I think he's just a victim of the guys who show a lot of promise early turn to burn out quicker.

I think in retrospect & with 20/20 hindsight you can say the Tszyu fight probably damaged his confidence, which seems overly important in a young boxers progress, & hurt his positive career trajectory too, but the reality was that was a fight that was called for & made rightly at the time. So while Zab might have been better served long term if he had an Oscar guarding him back in those days who "marinated" Zab vs Kostya, the timeline in 2001 had those two as the top two guys & I'm sure there was a fairly even split if not a solid lean Zab's way that he would win.
