But, why would hardcore fans be so against taking greater challenges? I think Ward going after Kovalev is fantastic, win lose or draw. Am I supposed to think it's a bad thing to seek greatness?
      Please dont bring up Ward!!

GGG probably moves up after the 160 division is unified and he can cash in on a Canelo bout. If Canelo were to admit he doesn't want GGG and admits he doesn't want to fight him, I think GGG would probably chase someone else and move up a little faster.

How come no one tells this to Canelo?

Roy Jones was the best fighter in the world but he's also the guy who got KTFO and still says he's addicted to boxing.

This bull**** is getting old. The community should put pressure on the fighters to fight, not to concede and make them move up.

We want a fight, we don't want this advise.

How much money did K2 have for such a bout to even happen. Since fans have learned how difficult it is for K2 to get too stars to sign, what would Froch's share even have been? How much stock did K2 even have when Froch or Chavez Jr. were publicized? How could Chavez Jr. even take a fight without passing Arum's hood?

Why is Golovkin chasing Alvarez? If the idea is that Golovkin had to chase Alvarez how does that make him look when there are boxers at 168. This is ******.. lol

It makes no sense. RJJ and fans who are pressuring GGG to move up are responsible for ruining boxing. They support one guy ducking another who is the same size as him, and therefore condone the ****ty fights we see these days.

So he ends up like you Roy?

Move up in weight and away from the fights the fans want to see? 168 is so amazing right? LOL

These jealous black fighters. First GGG is gonna get all the belts, break BHops record and then Canelita will get destroyed if he dares to fight.

Jones went up 3 divisions. Pacquaio went up 7 divisions. Mayweather went up 4 divisions. None of that "saved boxing" - but now Golovkin moving up one division will help to save boxing.

I gotta feeling boxing's problems run a bit deeper than that. Principally best fights don't get made often and timely enough and also best boxers often fight once or maximum twice a year. Compare to UFC.

Even when a fight like Ward and Kovalev gets made it's promoted lousily. "Boxing" should be shouting from the roof tops about this match-up - instead we hardly hear anything in the mainstream press.
