Jacobs turned down 3.000.000 $ to fight GGG...

I said in the other thread that Jacobs probably deserves like a 33-66 (or 35-65) split and I doubt there's $9 million available to split. If true, that's a bad decision for Jacobs.Comment

Jacobs was NOT offered 3 million. Based on what I hear he was offered 1.5 million which is of course he's going to reject because he practically made the same for Quillin, and Jacobs' people know there is 5 million in the pot from HBO, so it doesn't sit well with them that GGG is then getting 3.5. I think 2 to 2.5 gets the deal done.Comment

Golovkin may need to be flexible with Canelo, but Jacobs? Nah.
2.5 means the split is 50-50.. Gtfoh.
Jacobs is nowhere near G in terms of.. well, anything. Talent, drawing power, titles, anything.
Why does he deserve more than he made against Quillin? Did he dramatically increase his starpower or something? You gotta make sacrifices for big opportunities, right? Isn't that what Floyd, Oscar, Manny, etc. did to become stars? At least that's what I keep reading from the NSB subcomittee of Golovkin-haters.
I say Jacobs deserves 1.75, and 3.25 to the unified, undisputed MW champion of the world. That's a 65/35 split. Better than the WBA mandate, and more than what Jacobs got for Quillin.Last edited by Contra; 10-30-2016, 12:52 AM.Comment

With you revealing this, if true, it's a huge duck by Jacobs and his teamComment

If there's 5m in the pot then 1.7ish million should be about right which is like 35% or he can just settle for that 25% from the purse bid or he can just vacate...Comment
