Just take your emotions out of it for just a bit and try to see things objectively. The fact is Manny Pacquiao is now an old fighter. Tonight he looked like an old fighter and fought like an old fighter.

For one, he showed no finishing instincts and got nailed flush and rocked on several occasions by a fighter who cannot even hit. Also, he didn't throw nearly as many combination punches as he is accustomed to throwing. Lastly, he appeared slower and more lethargic than in his usual bouts.

This newer generation of welterweights, I'm afraid to say would potentially hurt him .

Have you watched him more than like 3 times? Thats how he always fights. That's the WHOLE POINT of Pacquiao. People enjoy the way he fights with reckless abandon.

Vargas isn't at the top of the division but I'm sure you can agree that Pacquiao at this stage of his career can still compete vs a Shawn porter or a Thurman, Wouldn't you agree?
