You know, you can point to several factors. But I'm sure in the back of most minds, whether you want to admit it or not, you'll wonder if he scaled off of PEDs. I remember watching Pacquiao-Cotto live and while I was enjoying the action, I couldn't shake a gnawing feeling, a strange feeling in my stomach, that something wasn't right. That what I was watching just didn't make sense.
But this is all speculation. Bottom line is that you can't take ANYTHING away from his accomplishments based on that. I'm pretty sure most of his opponents were juiced up as well, they just weren't anywhere near as good as Manny Pacquiao, a true legend and one of the greatest fighters who ever lived.Comment

He faced a lot of bigger, and durable guys since that Cotto stoppage, so i'm not really surprised he didn't stop them.
Obviously Mosley has a chin. Clottley has never been stopped and covered up from the first bell. Margarito should of been stopped by either the ref or his corner. JMM and Bradley have never been stopped, while Marquez has maybe the best sense of recovery in the game.
Rios had never been stopped at that point and has a chin.
He doesn't got for the kill (for want of a better word) when he has his opponent in trouble like he used to. Algieri probably being a case in point. He dropped him what 5 or 6 times?
He dropped JMM, Mosely and Bradley also.
The 8 opponents Pacquiao has faced since his last stoppage win, only have 5 stoppage loses on their records between them.
4 of those 5 stoppages came after they had faced Pacquiao...and when you look at them, one was an eye injury (actually orginally caused in a Pacquiao fight incidentally), and one was due to a back injury. So he's been facing very durable guys.
Facing bigger, durable guys. Good opposition, fighting with less aggression/intensity as he's aged. There is probably several factors.Last edited by Chrismart; 10-22-2016, 09:53 AM.Comment

You are just jumping into conclusions that has no basis. You have no evidence nor do you have any logical emphasis on your approach and is purely speculation and emotions based on what you have seen in his performance.Comment

The guy that stood and traded knocked Manny out cold , the guy that moved the best beat him , it seems Arum wants his cake and eat it too .
His opponents have not been drained CWs thats why he is not stopping them , they are coming stronger .Comment

Steroids cannot increase punch resistance, Pacquiao used the rope a dope on Miguel Cotto so that he wont get the bulk of the damage of his punches, but he never walked Cotto down, he was bobbing and weaving as a defense against Cotto and catch him with the right hook till the accumulation of damage kicks in. Pacquiao did not KO cotto, he stopped him by TKO and cuts. And also after Cotto the opponents gets bigger and bigger and he should have TKO'ed margarito, but instead he let up from the fight so that Margarito could finish, he told this in the interview himself. And Pacquiao was robbed with a TKO victory from Algerei, and also the KO's stopped AFTER Pacquiao teamed up with Ariza, Pacquiao was koing everybody in the lower weights before ariza teamed up with him in 2009.

Dazed, do you think a PED crook, who's opinion was cited by Hauser for ''Can Boxing Trust USADA?'' have any relevance of opinion when talking about Pac? one of the key figures of the BWAA, Tom Hauser, cited Victor Conte's opinion about PEDs in his article. Why would Hauser cite Conte?
Whether VADA wants to admit it or not, Victor Conte was initially part of the program and they went to him to help put together their testing strategy, etc. They completely deny it now but I do recall when Dr. Margaret Goodman said this years ago during the birthing stages. So Conte has an angle when he bashes USADA. Not to mention that they uhhh...caught him.
Hauser has an angle to as he has become a complete mercenary. Whatever. He's earned the right to do it. But I'm too smart to not read between the lines of his sources and innuendos--those things that he sprinkles in between facts that sway those facts to a certain conclusion.
So it's fine for him to cite Conte. As long as you know that both have an angle they're playing. Especially Hauser, a man who lost all credibility when he essentially called for Haymon to be hanged.Comment
