Same thing with when GGG stepped aside again to allow Canelo to fight Khan, though no step-aside fee was paid that time. Sulaiman stated that both Canelo and Khan were obligated to fight GGG next if they won, or be stripped of the title.

If Canelo hadn't told GGG he was going to fight him next, what would have been the point of Golovkin stepping aside for the second time, when he wasn't paid a dime for doing it?
so your proof is nothing but rumors from the forum, no articles exist about it cuz it never happened...
first the only one that steped aside was cotto, im surprissed you being a ggg fan are that missinformed, second the wbc allowed canelo a voluntary defense for his fight with khan so no need for a step aside again, if you think im lying with any of my statements feel free to tell me, and if you got proof otherwise please post it...

Cotto stepped aside? From what? Keeping his word to Golovkin, like Canelo?

If you gossip girls would take the trouble to READ NEWS ARTICLES instead of just yap, yap, yapping in the comments threads.

"Canelo didn't break his word ... he promised to vacate the title, and that's what he did .."

        Fucking morons.

In the past K2 Promotions has placated the likes of Miguel Cotto and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez by allowing certain fights to take place and taking step-aside fees as they agreed to not enforce Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin's position as the mandatory challenge (which he earned by way of winning the WBC interim middleweight title back in 2014 against Marco Antonio Rubio.)

Canelo apologists love their straw men!

Did I say one word about Canelo paying step aside fees to GGG?

Whether Canelo paid GGG to step aside is irrelevant and it's not what this thread is about.

The point is that Canelo pledged to fight GGG next if he beat Cotto, and then he made another pledge to fight GGG next if Golovkin gave him permission to have a voluntary defence first.

Canelo made the first of those broken promises just before GGG got the offer from Ward, and that was the main reason why Loeffler rejected it.
