you don't know that to be a fact and you have stated any facts for that matter, I see Canelo and his moves including vacating as smart business moves. Ggg need to sign he old and getting older.Comment

It's not a smart business, for sure he's getting a worse split coming in as a disgraced challenger looking to regain some respect. Unless you mean he'll make some more midrange paydays before getting his career derailed by Ggg, then it's smart businessComment

you keep stating things that you cannot prove to be facts, or at least it comes off that way. How you know ggg will derail canelos career? If that were the case, wouldn't ggg take his biggest payday ever and also become the star and make more money in the future? Since he is 34 and getting older... Think about that sir. Think for a sec and answer me that questing please i want to hear it from you teacherComment

Tean Golovkin said they weren't interested, there's no real controversy over that I think. The whole 164 thing was prefaced by 'we don't really want Ward right now , but.. '. Some have said it's because GGGs a coward, which is possible, but I don't know the man so I can't say - though it's not a trait I associate with pro boxers. I think the point that has many people riled is simply that GGG apparently claimed (or at least Sanchez did) that they could beat Ward and then didn't take the option of fighting him when it was available, whatever the reason. Fair enough - talking big and not backing it up is never a good look.
However, I don't attach any blame to Golovkin for not fighting Ward any more than I do to Canelo for not (yet) fighting Golovkin. Whatever his words in the past his only obligation to fight GGG evaporated when he gave up the strap. Likewise Golovkin never had any obligation to fight Ward whatever he or his team may have said about 154 - 168 - the unspoken caveat of such statements- like 'i'm not afraid of anyone' has always been 'if the money's worth the risk'. Still, just as Canelo would have been well advised to drop the strap and keep his mouth shut about Golovkin, Golovkin may have been better advised to just STFU about 168 whatever his (or Abel's) intentions at the time.Comment

It's not gonna look good if he keeps avoiding the dominant mw champ with record defenses, and boxings biggest fight. Remember how Max was punking him after Smith and promised more to come till he sacks up? That's loss of respectComment
