Who else can GGG fight for 10 million?

Saying GGG needs to take 3-4 fights doesn't tackle the bigger question of whether or not it's a fair split and that's what makes the argument really weak. Is $10 million a career payday for GGG? Sure. Is it a fair split for GGG relative to what his worth is to the fight? No. And that's why I think he has the right to reject the offer when he's being short changed on a business deal.
I don't think the fight is worth enough for Jacobs to make $3 million. But I already said in another thread if they can make enough money from the fight then sure, he can get $3 million so long as it's based on a fair split. I obviously don't think he should get $3 mil out of a $5 mil pot but $3 mil in a $8-10 mil pot is doable and fair.
You know why? Because it falls in line with what I said that fight splits should be based on their value to the fight, which if you haven't noticed, is what I've said all along.
If we're going to go with the "it's his biggest payday", then every ****ing fighter should accept a career payday even if it undermines their value to a fight. Would you support it if GGG offered Canelo $25 million (his biggest payday) and GGG gets the rest. Of course not. Because it's a ripoff of a deal for Canelo.
Except there's still nothing to support that. Just because I disagree with Canelo during 1 stance doesn't mean I will disagree with Canelo every time. That's usually the problem with this forum that unfortunately, you disagree with 1 party and you're a "fanboy".
But yes, I'm a "fanboy" because I don't agree with Canelo on this topic. Well isn't that just fantastic. It's easy to accuse someone of being a fanboy without real substance.
Again, if a fighter is paid for there worth then guys like Willie Monroe, Dominic Wade, and Adama should have made about 1% tops of the purse because I'm willing to bet the house that at least 99% of those people watched just for Golovkin.
If you are being paid 4x your biggest pay day then you have no room to talk. Especially in Golovkin's shoes. He NEEDS Canelo not the other way around. Canelo will get the WBO belt then it will only make things tougher for Golovkins negotiations. Now if GGG won and he had all the belts then he could have a rematch clause where he calls the shots and gets the big piece. He would literally be able to do whatever he wants with Canelo and would be the biggest draw.Comment

Canelo-Jacobs wouldnt generate anywhere near the amount that GG-Canelo would.Comment

You implied that only Canelo's injury prevented it.
Forget what happened in the past with K2's offer. The fight is now much more important to them than what it was last year. They'll come back to the table with a better offer, and the fight has a big chance of happening in the U.K.
If it's a good offer and Canelo's tied up, there'd be no reason for BJS to decline.Comment

You keep telling us he only got $5m for the Cotto fight.Comment

Exactly, he has to fight 4 opponents to make the kind of money he would from 1 Canelo fight. So you agree with Jacobs in that he should get more than 3 million against GGG?
To answer your question I didn't say you said it I said that because you are a GGG fan boy you would hop on Canelo's head if he rejected 10 million.
Yet you have just replied with: "Exactly, he has to fight 4 opponents..."
Ha!
You only see what you want to see.
And why does he have to be a fan boy just because he doesn't agree with you who's completely biased?Comment

Full of logic.
It was a pleasure to read.
I guess I must be a fan boy alt.

Reread your previous post.

Canelo's injury didn't help anything. If you deny that then that is on you.
K2 won't come back with ****, they are greedy broke boys who want to pay everyone bum salaries for a fighter that can't even sell decent on ppv when it is a unification bout that made GGG undisputed. If they were serious about fighting BJS they would have offered more than 2 million.Comment

Exactly as in yes he has to fight multiple opponents to make 10 million.
Do you just spend your entire day defending other men's opinions on the internet? Unless you are that guy then that post is not directed at you. I say certain things to certain users because each user has different opinions on each subject. Do you have identical opinions as him?Comment
