I get it everyone wants to be paid good for there fights. In this situation $10 million is probably more money than GGG last 5 fights combined. Plus if you know you will win take the $10 million and thrash him. If GGG doesn't then it is more about the money than actually fighting and beating Canelo. If that's the case then keep it real and say it's all about the money.

What can you expect from a charlatan like Oscar? Fair money split from him?

What can you expect from a charlatan like Oscar? Fair money split from him?

They/Canelo team/ only talk about how much money GGG will make, but not talk about the money Canelo will make.
In this fight GGG will actually draw the biggest crowd, not the ducking Canelo. Boxing fans love GGG for his superior boxing skills and the show he delivers.

If they want fair split let the winner take 60% and the loser 40%.

Shot caller of what? Who else is there? We know Cotto is not taking that fight so what other draw is there? Canelo has nobody on the horizon on the come up either. Both these dudes hold the last super fight in a while within 154 and 175 in the next few years, there isn't one fighter on the radar you can say would be half of a megafight between 154 and 175. So what Canelo is going to wait til he's 30 for another mega payday?

If Canelo at 26 doesn't have much option, then what happens with GGG who is like 36? IMO Canelo doesn't need this fight and GBP are treating it exactly like that, they could just rematch Cotto and they would still end up making more money.

World titles are the pinnacle of this sport/business. Alvared doesn't want to fight for long without a title - like all great fighters.
So the thing is because GG has most of the belts - he is the man! Just because you are the most popular, doean't mean you are.the best fighter or on top of a division.
Alvared is only a payday, it will be GG's knockout streak, KO percentage and title defences that define his legacy not a single win (unless.the fighter is elite - which alvared hasn't proven yet).
These may be the views of GG's team, hence no bowing down to mr popular.

GGG team should let him take the fight, if they are as confident as everyone in boxing he would KO Canelo and have more power in boxing.

How much money will Canelo get against GGG. The question cannot be answered because Canelo is banking on the fight doing big numbers. The fight would have to do better than Cotto v Canelo which isn't likely when you consider the rivalry and the fact that Cotto is a much bigger star than Golovkin.

10 million is more than fair. It is the biggest pay cheque Golovkin will sniff at the rate he's going and it will give him the opportunity to raise his brand.

If it were up to Canelo, he would take the fight at a split - problem is the Golden Boy team and their amateur MBA economics. The fight would be good for boxing, and both fighters, but GB is riding Canelo as a cash cow and looking to squeeze what they can out of his career. Days of legacy are gone - rematch with Cotto ? Whats the point - just a money move, no value to boxing or either fighter (Cotto would lose again - and who cares).

I like Canelo, but he needs to tell the GB team to drop the BS and make the fight, its what boxing needs.
