The WBO trying to adopt Canelo since he isn't the WBC's golden egg anymore. Lmao

You can always say that one guy might beat another at a particular point in time but the fight has been done and that's that.
So, if Floyd came back, got a tune up to get rid of some rust and then faced Canelo you would still pick Canelo?

I gotta disagree here. Canelo loses to Mayweather 10/10. He is still the same guy who struggles vs boxers.

Canelo looks better every fight..... but aside from the fact that Mayweather has been inactive (which could be significant) there is nothing to suggest that he beats Floyd, even at this point..... and that also applies to 154, which we know Canelo can make.

We have seen Mayweather return from inactivity without a hitch, but he is older now..... and we know he stayed in the gym during his last sabbatical, not sure about now as he looks retired to me.....

..... if he still had that timing and could still pull the trigger, I would pick Mayweather, in what would probably be a closer/much closer fight..... just because of those super-elite skills/instincts.

It's only been a year, and the Mayweather that beat Pacquiao would beat Canelo.

I don't see him boxing near the same way these days. He has great gameplans now. The Lara fight showed that he now knows to push the place when he's down. Khan fight illustrates his ability to execute a gameplan (weakened his body, then took his head off when Khan's movement slowed).

I picked Mayweather to beat him and if I thought Canelo was the same fighter, I'd pick the same. I've just seen big technical improvements in his game.

Mayweather is 40 and 2 years retired. We can't expect him to be superman forever.

I guess we would have to see how he looks first if he came back and then make a judgement.

Yea, absolutely. If Money did rematch, I'd be rooting for him.
