Why would you blame K2 for the challengers reluctance? No promoter in boxing is paying 3m+ for a B sider like Jacobs

Exactly force the purse bid already . Make Jacobs fight or vacate, call his bluff. Don't pay him 3 million. If he's a duck like Connello and vacates he becomes a laughing stock to everyone except GGG haters or PBC fan boys but they don't matter any ways. They called for an early bid 3 days before it was due, after 4 weeks of getting nowhere with this bunch. And sure enough, it's 10 days later and Jacobs coach: no way, it's way too soon, I need 10-12 weeks min. Ask yourself, were these guys ever serious about their Mando challenge?

And yes, Loeffler knows a purse bid kills it, Jacobs vacates. They'd rather take his scalp but if he's only out to waste their time might as well go to purse bid

If he vacates, they don't get his scalp ever. They couldn't have him more cornered. It's still possible he ducks and it's all a waste of time but might as well try cause slim pickings otherwise

They asked for an early bid 5 days before the end of the negotiation period. That's 5 days of negotiations...that's 5 days for a last minute deals to be reached. If you feel a purse kills the fight, asking for a purse bid is basically saying I refuse to budge on my last offer. Question...why is Dec 10 a hard fast date other than HBO and K2 wanted that date.
