They called for an early bid 3 days before it was due, after 4 weeks of getting nowhere with this bunch. And sure enough, it's 10 days later and Jacobs coach: no way, it's way too soon, I need 10-12 weeks min. Ask yourself, were these guys ever serious about their Mando challenge?
And yes, Loeffler knows a purse bid kills it, Jacobs vacates. They'd rather take his scalp but if he's only out to waste their time might as well go to purse bidComment

Pretty sure that Casemoya, Costa Tszyu, Dela Hoya, and Shane Mosley all ducked Floyd when he was 'high risk - low reward', everybody started calling him out when he became the cash cow doe, like they do Canelo now.Comment

No, he didn't get nowhere near. He got a 2m guarantee and ppv upside and UK proceeds which is peanuts. Ppv upside was weak. Khan is also a bigger name, and got a pay bump for coming up in weight for the sure ko.
Are you suggesting Jacobs should vacate cause he might make more for a more winnable fight, somewhere down the line?Comment

I would like to know the real reasons behind them not reaching a deal. Anyway, Dec. 10 seemed rather too soon, somehow. I just hope GGG fights three times next year.Comment

Daniel Jacobs believes he’ll challenge Gennady Golovkin for middleweight supremacy before Canelo Alvarez ever embraces that dangerous fight. The WBA world middl
But hey, Team Ggg gave up their date so Jacobs could get ready. Hope he's not wasting more of their timeComment

This fight is not in the cards. Golovkin is between a rock and a hard place as they say. Saunders is the next logical fight for him, but GGG's team will need to pony up big bucks to entice that Gypsy King in the ring. Maybe he can fight another "big" welterweight in the interim.Comment

That makes no sense. I'm not saying the Brook fight was anything other than a cash grab, but really, why would he walk away from a $4 or 5 mil UK PPV that was to all intents already set up? There were no other offers on the table whereas the Jacobs fight is still on the table merely expected to take place at a different date. From the sounds if Jacobs had been ready to fight in December that would have been K2s preference.Comment
