Kovalev is the best puncher Ward has ever faced so his chin is an issue.

    Simple.

this will likely be more relevant.....

Ward has the best defence Kovalev has ever faced, so Kova's power will be much less of an issue

Fought abraham, miranda, kessler, froch, Allen green... Do they have krusher power? No.. But they call can crack and ward was never hurt, and they got a few clean punches in here and there..

Ward got KD by Boone at middleweight. Kovalev got knocked down by Boone after Boone went up two weight classes. Ward has faced punchers at 168 with no problem. How many punchers has Kovalev faced side he faced a Boone that why up two weight classes and knocked him down?

Here is the Boone interview. I made a mistake and said they counted two knock downs. They only counted one on the four

It lowers the probability of being hit flush but doesn't change the power if he is hit flush.

Again this all doesn't matter in this fight. Ward is not a big puncher at LHW. The chances of Ward beating Kovalev by KO are slim.

Kovalev is the heaviest handed guy Ward has fought by a wide margin. Ward has great defense but great defense + great chin is even better. Does he have a great chin? We don't know. And that's Paulies point.

that is a big " if " in my book..... not enough to bet on

and nobody has ever walked through Wards punches, Kovalev won't be the first

that fight WILL be a boxing match

I am almost certain that it will go the distance, and that the best fighter will win

Ward has been in there with punchers and dominated
We do know his chin is at least solid.

But Wards plan I'm sure is not to find out by not getting hit lol
