Why don't people ever question Kov's chin? BHop made him stumble. Pascal rocked him. I guess I shouldn't ask why considering Ward isn't viewed as a big puncher, but it should be a part of the conversation... If Kov can't land a flush shot, then it doesn't matter how much of a puncher he is.

I'm curious how Ward will react to Kov's power after the 1st round or so. If he keeps coming after getting a feel for his power, Ward may surprise some folks.

It was in the same round that Kovalev got decked 4 times by Boone. Nobody saw that fight, which is why these clowns can say anything they want about it.

Any advance on 4 knockdowns for Krusher?

5 anybody? Come on guys ... it's only one more .. why stop at 4?

Seriously though, I don't think there is anything wrong with Ward's chin. But there's nothing wrong with Cleverly, Pascal, BHop, or Chilemba's chins either, and they all got decked, then either KTFO or put into survival mode by Kovalev.

After Ward tastes Kovelev's power, if he's still standing, he will have to chose between survival, rather than trying to win, or getting KTFO himself.

Can people please stop saying that Ward is just coming up in weight? His last two fights were at 175.

Hasn't made 168 in 3 years. But to be fair, he hasn't fought a live body above 168

Is there anyone that can provide a link to the Kovalev vs Boone 1 fight? I've searched high and low... ****all success.

Somebody posted a report of that fight which said that Kovalev was down once, in the 7th. Other reports I've read don't mention any KDs at all.

Boxrec don't have any KDs in their record of that fight either. But they do record Ward getting KD once by Boone, in round 4.

dude fought miranda, abraham, froch, and kessler. he has not lost since he was a boy.

when he got nailed in his youth against darnell boone, a great puncher who has knocked out some very good fighters, he got right back up.

i can't see how you'd have questions about his chin. sure, he hasn't fought kovalev at 175, but i don't think even a great chin is going to get you past kovalev if you can't get out of the way.

his chin will be good enough to hang, not good enough to take the bombs over and over again. the key to this fight will be defense. if ward has to rely on his chin he's going to lose. he doesn't have the power to win that kind of fight on the scorecards, even if he can go 12.
