Since he's been at 168 he hasn't been hurt by any punches, I think his chin issues were due to cutting down to 160 and not being 100% at the weight.

That said being dropped or KO'd by Kovalev isn't an indication of a bad chin, I think people will be surprised at Wards durability in that fight.... sorta like Donaire vs Rigondeaux.

I don't think that's true, but Ward has been in there with guys like Froch and Kessler,and defensively elite or not everyone in boxing gets hit. I think Paulie is starting to read his own press clippings about being a great commentator. Lately it seems like he's just been focusing on the most surprising or controversial takes instead of the right one.

Even if this was true, it doesn't really address the point being made because Ward wont be delivering the same power that Kovalev brings, hence Wards chin being a bigger factor in this fight than Kovalev's.

If this was the exact same situation, say with Beterbiev, then you can start looking at it that way.

I disagree with Pauline. Ward has fought, froch, Kessler , Abraham and none of these guys shook him. This might be wards toughest test but let's not forget , it's definitely Kovalev toughest fight to.
