Jacobs praying hard he has an excuse not to make the fight...while GGG haters are like "who has he beat?" ..Well... who has Jacobs beat? Oh right... Quilien... who drew against Andy Lee!

25% is ridiculous....Marquez is spot on...

Jacobs actually brings something to the table not too mention this would lift GGG profile and enable him to get a bigger purse vs Canelo. GGG pulls the same mess Canelo does to him with other fighters. 60-40 is a fair split when fighting a marketable opponent with only one loss and a higher caliber victory in beating Quillen.

25% is the WBA's rule, not K2's offer. What if it comes out that Jacobs already rejected a 40% amount?

In July K2 offered Danny the same $1.5mill deal they offered Lemieux, with Golovkin taking $2mill - that's a 43/57 split. Jacobs called it chump change, even though that's proven market value. I mean the wft man...

Danny's a good fighter, but he's not a star with any drawing power, this fight is only so big.

Well Jacobs had a shot to make the fight without taking that split and balked. Let the facts reign supreme here. Comparing the money on the table for Golovkin vs Jacobs to the money to be made off Golovkin vs Alvarez are worlds apart.

He lost first fight so why would anyone complained about what he had to accept? He wanted to get froch back in ring so he had to agree what froch offered to try and redeem himself bad example you used bro

Because Groves is the one who hyped the hell out of the fight for one. The other because Groves dropped Froch and nearly finished him, where Froch stopped Groves on a questionable ref call, so it was seen as closely competitive. Bro.

Even though I think Jacobs deserves more than 25%, he has absolutely no bargaining power here.

He's an interim champion, not a super champion. Golovkin gave Lemieux a 40% split because Lemieux had the IBF belt, he had leverage. Golovkin already has the WBA Super title. He doesn't need Jacobs WBA world title. This is a mandatory fight and they'll follow those rules set by the WBA if Jacobs doesn't like it then it's too bad.

Besides, Haymon has the resources to get Danny the kind of money he wants when it comes to the purse bid.

Jacobs has the chance to win all of Golovkins belts right? Whilst being a nobody that can't attract flies to sht, against a p4p top 3 fighter and one of the biggest names in boxing today.

Does not Marquez not know how purse bids work? It's not GGG offering 25%, that's the purse bid rules. The rest is up for negotiation before the bid.

Financially though, Jacobs deserves about 10%. He couldn't even sell out HALF of Barclays center lol, in his hometown. GGG is a worldwide phenomenon. Maybe if Jacobs didn't cherry pick the last 4 years, and instead chased all the best names like GGG, then he would be more of a star too, and could demand a better purse. Instead he took the easy money against easy names so all his fans deserted him, and now he has no fan base or marketability to bring to negotiations with a superstar. That's his fault not GGG's. Is Jacobs a bigger star than David Lemieux? No so he should take the Lemieux deal, even though HBO is actually offering him way more because of Canelo's injury. Jacobs is lucking into extra money his marketability doesn't warrant but he's still chickening out. Just shows how Haymon operates.

K2 offered Jacobs that same 43% offer they gave Lemieux and he publicly rejected it. I think it's safe to assume K2 has since offered Jacobs more than that initial $1.5mill, which is already higher than 25% for what this fight is realistically worth.

People need to drop the 25% split talk as an excuse for Jacobs. That's not the issue in making this fight. Doug Fischer just talked with Tom Loeffler this weekend and said Haymon's not returning his calls.
