Jacobs has already went on record a while back to say that in order for him to take such a risk to step in the ring with GGG, he would have to be rewarded handsomely.
Now what is considered "handsomely"? Per the WBA rules, the split is 75/25. I can see GGG's team offering him a 65/35 split. If Jacobs wants or feels that he's worth more than that then he's delusional or pricing himself out.Comment

Nobody knows what they offered Jacobs. For all we know they could had offered 30% and Jacobs still refused it. So, Team GGG could had said, if you aren't gonna take the 30% then you'll have to settle for the 25% from the purse bid or vacate.
Or Team GGG could had just offered something like 27% which isn't much different from 25%. Who knows.
Nobody really knows what was offered.Comment

the one who don't know **** about it is you, idiot. They first offered $1.9m on the table and Jacobs got $1.5m against Kid Chocholate. And they had no intention to bring the bigger money on the table or persuade WBA to modify split. Enjoy another big drama show with guys like Heiland, Rose, or Tuerano.Comment

I am not sure that GGG'S side is offering 25% but rather that is what the WBA'S mandated split is. That said, I think that GGG needs this fight more than Jacobs because of the heat that he is getting for his lack of a resume. 30 or 35 % is reasonable, especially if he is playing the long game. Peace.Comment

I agree that its bad offer,35% would be it,But why Marquez is so Vocal in this topic and Canelo?Comment

JMM doesn't really know what K2 offered Jacobs. The 25% he's quoting is from the WBA purse bid rules. That's the bottom line. It's Golovkin's right as a champion to say that if he doesn't like the terms Jacobs' is insisting on, he can fall back on the purse bid.
There's nothing new in the scenario. We've had purse bids for decades. All Golovkin is doing is reaping the benefits of the belts he worked hard for. He's following the established rules that were laid out. Danny's the one who wanted special treatment.Comment

Nobody cried when George Groves had to accept 20% to fight Carl Froch in the rematch, when Groves was the one selling the fight. Groves jumped at the chance to prove himself and fight a champion.
Danny Jacobs wants to pretend he's already a champion and says he already deserves to be a star. Purse bid is in 4 days, lets see if Haymon sends anyone to show up considering they've already stopped negotiating.Comment
