It's really not. Jacobs is nobody. Seriously. No one gives a flying **** about him. Golovkin is one of the biggest names in boxing, no matter how much people try to pretend otherwise. He's somewhere in the top 10, arguably top 5. Jacobs would be lucky to be in the top 30-40 most recognizable names in boxing.

And even if 25% was unfair, Jacobs knew the split as a mandatory. 40% isn't going to happen. If you think you can win, take the 25%, beat Golovkin's ass, and the world is yours. Jacobs becomes an instant superstar if he wins this fight. He'll make up that 15% he missed out on and then some the next time he fights.

Nobody cares about Jacobs? Then who will Golovkin defend against for that supposed 2nd best streak after Bhop? Who's the second best Middleweight?

You should try harder when you lie.

We will see if GGG is really interested in fighting Jacobs. If he is, he will have to pony up much more that 25%. Perhaps Golovkin should publicly offer Jacobs the same percentage split he expects from Canelo.

Make concessions and fight someone relevant or people (and that may just be me) will stop paying attention.
It happens constantly with fighters as superior to their competition as Golovkin is. It's happening right now with Rigondeaux. It's a fact of boxing that dangerous fighters get ducked like Golovkin currently is.

You don't make concessions to mandatory defenses who are far smaller names than you. The onus is on Jacobs here, not Golovkin. Jacobs is the challenger, Jacobs is the unknown name, Jacobs is the one proving something in this fight. Golovkin's concessions should only come against equal or bigger names.

the difference is golovkin is a unified champ, Jacobs is just a challenger and there are rules which have been set by the wba. as a fighter who is ranked by the wba Jacobs should abide by their rules, otherwise tell wba to get lost and fight for another belt, oh wait, golovkin has all the belts apart from one.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Jacobs isn't even as meaningful to Golovkin's career as Brook was, and that's saying something considering how **** a fight the Brook fight was.

Why do so many NSBers drastically overvalue fighters like Jacobs? He can't sell out an arena the way Lemieux even could. His ratings suck. He's nobody.

Triple G is the draw but Jacobs is also a champion whether people like it or not. You have to pay him like a fighter who is coming to the ring with a belt not like a contender. 60-40 or 65-35 is fair.

Marquez is wrong. Jacobs is not a draw, not on tv, not in his hometown. If he doesn't fight Golovkin next, nobody will care who he fights.

Besides that, nobody knows what K2 has offered Jacobs, the purse bid is just the final answer if they can't come to terms. According to Doug Fisher who talked with Loeffler, Haymon's refusing to even negotiate anymore. So **** Danny Jacobs, he can take 25% or vacate.

The Split for the Purse bid is 25%. Maybe they offered 35% but Jacobs wanted 40% hence him asking the WBA to modify their rules. We do not know what was offered and if you guys are saying 30-35% is Ok but Jacobs wants 40% then what will all the G-trolls say??

Again I really didn,t know that Marquez was sitting in on the negotiations.
