You know it! Here's now it starts;
"Not his fault, he's mandatory"
Then;
"Better than ___(insert someone else's competition)"
Followed by;
"He's actually really dangerous, high risk, takes balls to fight someone with nothing to lose!"
Finished by;
"GG still got more views than Ward so **** you ****, **** ***!!!!"Comment

One of the year's more special moments, for those who might have missed it.
Also worth watching is the Khomitsky (or however they're transliterating his name now) fight. Sergei (Siarhai) is a tough, tough dude and that one was a barnstormer.
Khurtsidze highlights.
The NDNJ loss - although pretty damn close - shows he can be outboxed, movement and length are always gonna be problematic when you're a pint sized midget, and veteran Duran showed he's hardly an irresistible force, but man, Avtandil makes a helluva good watch.Comment

The split isn't the real issue. Danny Jacobs already rejected $1.5mill back in July - $1.5mill would be 25% of $6mill, nobodies putting up $6mill for this fight.
Jacob's isn't worth ****, nor does he want to take this fight to try and make himself worth what he believes he should be getting.Comment

Because they are hiding the lowball or fake offers they are getting. GayLoveKin will lose very soon since he's not bringing hbo in the kind of money they were hoping for.Comment

He got 1.5 for Quillin correct? Quillen was known as a top 160lb champ, Jacobs KO'd him cold in 1 rd. Usually a fighter does well, he gets more in his next fight. Why should he get less for (we assume) a bigger threat when his best win was much more impressive than any of golovkins opponents? Why not 35% at least?Comment

A fighter gets paid more b/c they continue to build interest from the fans. Jacobs 385k tv viewers on Showtime vs Quillin only grew to 600k tv viewers on free tv (Spike) vs Mora II.
My point was this - the split doesn't matter, it's the amount. Jacobs already rejected a deal worth atleast 25% of what this fight is worth, in fact it was close to 40% of what this fight might be worth. We can assume going into these negotiations that K2 was already offering higher than $1.5mill since he rejected that before, which means they've been offering him more than 25/30/35% this entire time. So to say K2 needs to offer more than 25% in order for Jacobs to accept, is not accurate. It looks like Danny's already rejecting 40% of the pie.
Furthermore, Jacobs made $1.5mill vs Quillin, who's left on the PBC side for him to fight with that kind of payday or higher??? He wouldn't even get paid more than that to go up and fight the winner of Degale/Jack.Comment

I swear I see ggg bring heralded as a boxing superstar on here. Sells out arenas on both coasts. Sold out a uk stadium too. Recognized as a top p4p fighter by some publications. Holds belts and all that good jazz.
All that and jacobs is in he wrong for wanting more money than he got when he fought a paper champ, as some called him, in Quillen?Last edited by hhs661; 10-18-2016, 02:04 PM.Comment
