Comments Thread For: Andy Ruiz: I Dazed Joseph Parker in Sparring, Rocked Him Good!

Andy Ruiz (29-0, 19KOs) admits that he was surprised to hear that he rattled the jaw of Joseph Parker (21-0, 18KOs) so bad in sparring, that the New Zealand fighter was unable to properly eat for three days.

Ruiz is more worried about not being able to eat for 3 days than losing his '0'.

This is going to be an interesting fight. I'm pretty sure Andy Ruiz has sparred higher level opponents that Parker fought. So Parker getting beat up in sparring doesn't seem to far fetched.

Andy body shape doesn't look like someone who takes their profession too serious. He looks like he been stuffing his face with all types of Mexican cuisines. Let's see how his engine holds up over 12.

This was apparently the first of many sparring sessions, and at the very beginning of his partnership with kevin barry, so JP was a total novice.
According to Barry, the later sparring sessions JP won every round and was never invited back.

Btw Parker has sparred The likes of Tyson fury so im not sure Ruiz has fought or sparred anyone better?

Just an assumption. Sparring in USA your whole career >>> anywhere else. I'm English saying that.
I didn't know Parker sparred Fury tbh.

Hopefully the fight gets made and Ruiz puts in work at Big Bear.

Ruiz is not beating any top 15 ranked Heavyweight to be honest he might get a draw with Ian Lewison, he is just a Taco Mucnhing diabetes Heavyweight

I'd say that's probably only true for featherweight up to light-heavy. Cruiser/Heavy are pretty european focussed divisions. I bet there's a massive amount of untapped welterweight talent all across the USA though.
