Marquez says 30-35% is the minimum for a guy like Jacobs and the circumstances. Says Golovkin are hypocrits what they're doing to Jacobs when they were complaining about GBP offers!

Golovkin has never faced a fighter with speed and power. My guess is Loefler's playing hard ball with a can on ice all ready to go. I can hear Jim Lampley spinning now "The thing is these guys see the brutal power and the amateur pedigree and their just afraid to sign."

So you missed that Jacobs asked for an interim fight? In other words, the mandatory challenger doesn't think he's ready for his shot against the champion. No time for this coward

How much have K2 offered Jacobs then? I've yet to see a figure. Link me up, man.

I dont even know what to think about K2 anymore, from what im hearing offer is not public(we dont know),Marquez probably is saying that they didnt want to negotiate and force a bid 75-25

Sadly my Spanish ain't upto getting what JMM's saying, but unless he has some kind of insider info that conclusion isn't necessarily supported by the evidence available. I obviously can't say for sure, but if K2 never offered or were prepared to offer more than 25% I would have thought they would have gone straight to purse.

It's speculation but the most likely scenario seems to me that they offered more (maybe 30%) but Jacobs considered it insufficient and an impasse was reached at which point K2 starts playing hardball and threatens the purse and Jacobs responds by requesting the purse modification.

I don't know if there's nuances to JMMs language either - is he saying they're being 'difficult' implying 'unreasonable' or 'tough' as in standing their ground. Translations are sometimes slippery like that and meaning and implications are often more subtle than direct translations suggest. Maybe a Spanish speaker could clear that one up?

K2 were negotiating with Haymon/DiBella for over a month trying to make this fight, with Jacobs turning down their offers and asking for an interim fight instead.

If it now goes to a purse bid the split will determined by the WBA rules, not by K2

The purse split for a WBA mandated title fight is 75/25 in favour of the champion, and it's been that way for years without anybody here complaining or whining about it.

Now suddenly, because it's GGG vs a black American Haymon fighter, that split is unfair to the challenger and the champion is a duck if he allows the bid to take place.

**** OFF YOU SHOWER OF HYPOCRITICAL RACIST BASTARDS!

well obviously they didn't agree with 75/25... I wonder what time and agreement has to do with it... I wonder!

This is ESPN reporting, the same structure of approval from the powers that pay Kellerman's check. These narratives need approval before going on air, industry info is not hard to share.
