Showtime has Frampton Thurman J-Rock Williams Andrade Spence Porter Broner Wilder Joshua I mean the list goes on and they presented a lot of great fights what fights has HBO presented that were great this year none now Lomachenko vs Walters will be great and Jacobs vs Golovkin will be decent I liked Vargas vs Salido and I do feel that Oscar Valdez will become the star here in a few years but come on Haymon has done a great job here more than HBO could doComment

It's understandable for fans to be frustrated when they don't see their favorites fighters as often as they should be actively fighting.
IMO, all that glamour and glitz was a ridiculous waste of money. It would be interesting to find out whose idea that was... if Haymon thought it would be cool to do that, or if the TV networks demanded it. Taking away from the feel of a typical fight card atmosphere was/is a bad way to blow thru money.
Bring back the round card ladies, put the announcer in the ring, put on SOME fights at least... even if they aren't always for belts. IOW bring back the throwback fight cards we used to see on Sunday afternoons on regular network TV. It was a solid formula that worked for decades.Comment

On the front end , PBC paid for all of their sets, paid for what amounts to three years of TV (across various networks), plus all of the money spent during the initial advertising launch.
You add the various other production costs related to putting on the 100 or so PBC cards so far, and the bill adds up rather quickly (I doubt the number is actually $400m though).
Beyond that, if PBC has been trash, what do you call what HBO has put on since the launch of PBC? Mismatches galore, with Jim Lampley fellating the HBO fighter with all his heart, and you want to talk what?Comment

Wilder is just hitting his prime, as are Danny Garcia and Keith Thurman.
Wilder, Danny Garcia, Thurman, SpenceJr, ChavezJr, Beterbiev, Joshua, Mikey Garcia, Demetrius Andrade, and at least 150 prospects coming through the pipeline (possibly including Shakur Stevenson) ****s all over HBO's "star power".Comment

They haven't spent $400 mil. These writers that hate PBC have been putting out all types of false or unconfirmed information. According to a user on Reddit PBC wasn't going to make it to the summer. Some writers even took that info and posted it as if it was a legit story.Comment

Last March, powerful manager/adviser Al Haymon launched his anticipated boxing series, Premier Boxing Champions. Within a few months, Haymon and the PBC team locked up television agreements - mostly time-buys - with NBC/NBC Sports, Spike TV, ESPN/ABC, CBS/Showtime/CBS Sports, Bounce TV, and Fox/Fox Sports 1/Fox Deportes.

this is good news, not surprised at all
all those doom and gloom rumors were just wishful thinking
which is disgraceful
and, anything would be better than the HBO/Top Rank model of the past..... I hope PBC can move forward and keep their fighters more activeComment
