LOL at you attempting to bash Canelo's resume and trying to act as if you don't have an agenda/bias. Canelo has beaten Cotto, Lara, and Trout with many people picking against him in all of those fights. At 26 his resume is fantastic.

Lames want to compare Garcia to Canelo

Canelo was spoon fed to be where he's at, Garcia earned his spot

Canelo Won his strap over Hatton and not the good one , Garcia won his over a HOf in Moreales

Swift fought his biggest threats in their prime ( Khan, Lucas, Peterson and soon to be Thirman ) and won in fights he wasn't supposed to and cleared out his division

Canelo has a resume littered with names that should have a asterisk beside them for various reasons

        Canelo's resume...CHAMP!

These types of threads are ****** and have under lying motives. Why else would it be a thread, then?

Canelo is building a HOF resume. He has two legacy wins already. Lara and Cotto. And for those who say he didn't beat Lara and struggled with Cotto, are haters. Lara talked ALL that **** just like Floyd did for years about Manny. Come fight night, Lara boxed well the first three or four rounds. Then Canelo ADJUSTED and won the fight. Once Lara tasted Canelo's power, he went from effective boxing, to flat out RUNNING! And against Cotto, Canelo showed that he is ready to fight any A Level fighter in the sport. Cotto wasn't going to be KO'ed that night, period. You can also make a case that Freddie Roach's Cotto, is better than any version of Cotto, his entire career. His stamina is better, his defense is better, and he seems hungrier. No? So STFU with the "Canelo should've KO'ed Cotto" talk. You try to KO Cotto. Since when do you KO Cotto, anyways? Smh.

So, in conclusion, the kid is the real deal and improves by the fight. Every since the Floyd fight, where he was DRAINED TO DEATH, he has been on a mission. What you idiots have to understand is, Oscar is his idol and promoter. Oscar has one of the top five resumes in the history of boxing. His fighters FIGHT and take risks. So, don't worry about GGG because Canelo WILL fight him in due time. Boxing is a business and it would be ****** to jump right into a middleweight fight against the best middleweight on the planet. He needs at least two fights at the weight.

lol. people criticize GBP yet they don't realize Oscar also helped Danny make his career. The question should be, which of Oscar's plan worked out best? Garcia to Haymon or Alvarez Devoted to Oscar? Either way, these are all Golden Boy Productions!

and let me remind you again...

          Alvarez: 26
          Garcia: 28

2009: Alvarez wins WBC Youth belt
2010: Garcia wins WBC Youth interim belt
2011: Alvarez fights a seasoned 147 Hatton with 4 losses, a guy Brook fights a year later and also goes 12...
2012: Garcia fights Morales the 2nd time, as first time they went 12..., with Morales having 8 losses and aged 36..a guy coming from Super Bantam..
2013: Garcia fights Judah...a guy who's ''chin'' could also be considered suspect like Khan considering he fought Tszyu, Floyd, Cotto, Clottey, and...Khan....
2013: Alvarez fights Trout, a 4 time defending WBA holder and unifies, a guy who beat Cotto...
2013: Garcia fights Matthyse, a non champ for a Lineal bout...
2014: Controversial Herrera...yeah compared those skills to the Lara bout vs Alvarez... we'll get to that!
          2014: Alvarez fights Lara....Lara who?
2014: Garcia fights the infamous non ranked Salka, who after losing goes back to campaign at Lightweight. These Philly boys ( which includes Salka) want some easy work just so that Garcia can transition going to 147...

from Peterson, Guerrero, Paulie....c'mon man... stop trolling. Cotto alone equals the value of all those 3 now, without mentioning Khan, Kirkland, and a 2 time defending Liam Smith with his WBO.

Conclusion: Didn't even mention Mayweather for the 152 catch. Who atm even comes close to Floyd's skill for Danny's to have taken such a risk?

So, champ or Chump?
He's not a chump but definitely a bit over rated. Notice he would fight guys like old Mosely, Lopez, Cintron, N'Dou(140 pounder) etc., but won't fight any of the young talent in the division now like the Charlos, Andrade, Williams, or Culcay. And Golden Boy is hiding him from Golovkin, while feeding him easy outs like Smith. He is a bit of a joke to me. Not to mention, I thought Trout was jobbed, and so was Lara. He doesn't have a quality win, that wasn't controversial.

Yeah he's supported by casual fans and women, you probably fall in the second category

Canelo has been sh.itted on by

                  Chavez
                  Chavez Jr.
                  Marquez
                  G Ramirez
                  Nacho
                  Estrada
                  Angulo
                  Margarito

And countless others of his Mexican peers, because they know what's up. But fans like you are too occupied by the size of d.ick to actually think objectively

Ummm. Yes I'm inclined to agree. Also the Matthysse win is one that only continues (perhaps a little unfairly) to lose lustre as time goes by.

Alvarez fight career B level Welter in Hatton for the WBC title followed by defenses against faded smaller men in Mosley,Cintron, and Gomez. Followed by tougher than expected fight against division gate keeper Trout. Dominated by 36 old Mayweather, not even winning a round. Boss back when against shot Angulo a maybe loss vs Lara,ko against old shot chinny Kirk,ud vs small old war torn Cotto (unable to hurt despite extreme size disparity) chinny small Khan, paper titlist Liam Smith.
