i dont mind street fight if its with skilled fighters trading punches, but it isnt, its usually two people pissed up throwing punches on a friday night, when its someone like golovkin fighting its a different matter

Not everyone has the skills or the technical ability to be elite pure boxers and there's a lot more skill behind what you dismissively label 'power punchers' - at least at the top level - than you may like to ascribe. But in the end, it's what wins for me, and there are many routes to victory. I love watching skillful displays of pugilistic excellence but I'd be dishonest to deny the visceral pleasure of watching two guys beat the snot outta each other with all it's excitement and drama, tenacity, resolve and sheer bloody-mindedness. Clearly it's possible to derive enjoyment from both, so why the necessity to make this distinction? Are you not perhaps just being divisive or maybe a bit of a snob? Meant with total respect, of course.

Even with the slick fighters, there most hyped up fights are when they are fighting someone aggressive. The thing is i get made out to be the crazy one on this site when i say i like fights like morales v barrera rather than hopkins v winky wright, yet 99 percent of people would probably agree in the real worldLast edited by Citizen Koba; 10-15-2016, 04:25 AM.

What seperates boxing from street fighting is humility. Respecting the opponent enough that you spend 2 months in gruelling training preparing for the worst case scenario.
Street fights usually involve two buffoons who think they can end the fight with one shot.Last edited by fighter1234; 10-15-2016, 06:25 AM.

The usual non-sense. Lara should be the pay per view king at the moment not Canelo. Golovkin doesn't deserve his hype we want fights like Rigondeaux put up against Agbeko, all that 'pure' boxing brilliance.

One should always consult the advice of an expert on these matters.
