I don't think Jacobs gives two flying f.ucks what people on a Internet forum think about what we think he got offered, he and his team know the real number

And I'm just going from the actual video that I saw not the article written on Boxing scene, and he acknowledges that a offer was made for roughly the same as Peter Quillen

      Most likely not.

But Quillin, who was on the verge of getting KOed by Rosado, who then vacated his belt to avoid Korobov, and escaped by the skin of his teeth with a draw against Andy Lee is the best fighter on either's resume.

Willie Monroe beat Gabe Rosado far more convincingly than Quillen did, does that make him Quillins equal?

The same Quillin that was outboxed by N'Dam, who looked like garbage vs Luka Konecny (who ever that is, Im sure you remember his lackluster tuneup fight).

When did Quillin become so highly regarded? lol.
But quillin has a legit resume doe. He's from ny.

        Golovkin wants to lowball him.

I think he knows greatness is not really achievable. He honestly doesn't have a great chance against Golovkin, and it's probably going to end like Pirog.

But then you also have to add in the Haymon factor. If he hadn't been overpaying Jacobs, $1.5-2m would have got the deal done now. As it is, his fighters are resistant to big fights because the jump in pay doesn't match the jump in risk.

Because Haymon has been overpaying them, everyone else must overpay them too. Why? Because they are Al Haymon fighters

Lots of people predicted the over-paying would distort the market. And oh how it has.

I don't understand anymore. It's almost like nobody these days wants to be great.

However, Jacobs doesn't seem to be particularly excited about getting the opportunity he has been presented with. He is getting the chance to become a unified world champion and #1 middleweight in the world, with the guarantee of huge paydays in the future if he wins, all things that you would think would be every boxers' childhood dream.

Jacobs' has not pursued this fight since winning the WBA regular belt in 2014 and since then has been vague about what it would take to get him to fight Golovkin. Whenever he talks about it, it seems like he sees it as a chore which he must be compensated for, rather than an opportunity for him and his opponent to elevate themselves.

We will know his reasons as the October 22 deadline gets closer.
Why is he guaranteed huge paydays if he wins and becomes unified champ. He wins 1 fight and is all of a sudden a legit fighter. Golovkin fought for years to become unified champion and people consider him a bum and he still isnt guaranteed huge paydays...

In the same interview he said "kinda close" to what Quillin got him. Also said he's not gonna go overboard and ask for 10m lol. If that's your reference point, 2.5m is kinda close, and just about 2 Quillins
