Well if it's in his contract and showtime/PBC come in with a bigger bid then he better fight.... But I really can't see HBO letting one of their top " stars" walking over to a rival network to fight.

I can totally see it. For one,it may be written in the contract. They also wanna keep him happy and vacating would make him most unhappy.

But most importantly it'll take a huge bid to win this, with most of it going to hugely favored Hbo guy. When Pbc money was flowing freely Haymon couldn't muster up more than 5m for more valuable Wilder with a far better chance of winning than Jacobs, and a much better purse split, with real hometown advantage at stake ie Russia. If Haymon is that irresponsible Hbo will call their bluff and laugh their a$$ off

It's clear GGG wants the fight, they tried their best to negotiate and give Jacobs more than the standard purse but Danny wanted a retirement fund.

Now that they couldnt come to terms, and K2 has always been fair to their opponents, even overpaid them, Loeffler asked the WBA to finally do the pursebid so the fight could happen and you can bet on it that Haymon whispers into Gilberto Mendozas ear that they delay the purse bid and that Jacobs could fight an interim fight, also that the WBA should change their rules for Danny Jacobs and increase his split?. I mean WTF?

Imagine GGG becoming mandatory to win 3 major belts and becoming one of the best P4P fighters and a star in boxing.

He would not hesitate one second and take the fight, take his 25% and fight.

Jacobs is just looking for a way out if he doesnt get his retirement money, even wants to change rules of sanctioning bodies.

Of course the WBA screwed GGG over in the past by protection Sturm from GGG for many years, elevating him to Super Champ etc. and now Haymon puts some cash into their pocket, they will try to screw GGG over again. It'll happen.

GGG needs to fight this year, with or without Jacobs, this is getting embarrassing with these ducks and cowards. Al Haymon is responsible for this ****, turning fighters into money hungry accountants and Divas, who rather fight Rod Salkas once a year and shut their mouth and kill the sport we love. This fight will end in 1-2 rounds....Jacobs chin is weaker than Khan's...and that says something. Jacobs has a "puncher's chance", but that's all.....I doubt Jacobs even beats Lemieux.

Definitely not ppv worthy and don't other fans get tired of waiting several months for fights to happen just for them to end within a few rounds?

Jacobs wants that 6 month build up huge media coverage rocky Apollo media craze. He wants to build it up and make it the only event of the universe. This it will not be but probably his biggest fight. He'll take some concessions not all thoughn, he doesn't just wanna be a tune up before canelo
