Thats not exactly true. It has had its moments, but it has generally been percieved as a weight class for guys to hide out in instead of being heavyweights. I myself felt that way up until a couple years ago, but with the size of heavyweights these days its hard to deny the division needs to exist.

Now looking at the division today it has some really good talent, as in elite, possible p4p talent. Lebedev and Huck are proven commodities, Usyk looks like he could be sensational and the division has a solid top 10 overall as well as some young guys on the come up. Its one of the better divisions in boxing imo.

      Agreed.

I can only think of the Super Flyweight division as being better.

Bellew as a champ though, I'm happy for him I'm from Liverpool I went the fight against mukabu but he got handled at lightheavy by Stevenson, I've never found Huck too impressive and yet he holds the record for most defenses alongside Johnny Nelson

As brutal as it was, he should have been famous for having a disfigured face.. It shows the importance of owning towels

Bellew is a better CW than he was LHW that's for sure.

Huck only got level with the record due too hometown cooking he clearly lost too Lebedev, Afolabi & Arslan. Just a typical fraudulent German paper champion really but he made for a lot of great fights.

Lol? it's prolly the best division at this moment in time.

you one of the greatest boxers on the planet right now in:

                Usyk

                then you got:

                Lebedev
                Gassiev
                Glowacki
                The unbeaten cuban killer Dorticos
                Mikki Nelson
                Bredis
                Hunter
                Tabiti
                Drozd

Then you got some of the old timers who are still killers hanging around:

Kudryashov is still a scary mofo
Huck still got some big fights in him
Chakhiev is done but can still **** out anyone
Bellew and Cunningham in the mix

are you kidding me? it's the most stacked divsion in boxing

There's a reason why the cruiserweight division is ignored. Nobody cares about it. Not my fault, there's some good scraps that have happened in the past. Not recently though.

Its a fun ass division. Usyk has a chance to elevate it by doing a little more work and becoming a draw in the USA as well as Europe, and becoming known as one of the best fighters in the world. Some of the young guys look like beasts and some of the older guys like Lebedev havent really declined at all.

The problem for the fans in the states is being able to watch these fights on tv instead of on youtube.

There can be good fighters, it's just that once people make a name for themselves at CW they immediately move up to get some of dat HW $. It's mostly euros most people have never heard of..
