I think that very little has changed regarding this fight

it was always going to be a boxing match, and will most likely go the distance

      said that months back

the folks who think that "Ward is old and has not been tested recently, and Kovalev is a monster"..... are in for a bit of a shock LMAO

      luckily Kovalev/JDJ aren't that silly.

may the best man win, and he will

Kovalev is really known for his power, he's not a superior boxer. Ward is. This is boxing and one well placed punch can change the dynamics of any fight. Like Scully said, if Ward does not get caught with one of those punches, his boxing skills is much better than Kovalev's. Ward by decision.

Hopkins didn't fight a 168 corpse of Dawson though

Kovalev is a skilled, crafty fighter, with good power. When Ward tries to mount an attack, Kovalev is not just going to stand there dumfounded like Barrera did. He's going to move and counter. When Ward goes on the retreat, Kovalev will stalk & pressure him, rather than allow him to reset. And when Ward tries to clinch and muscle, he'll realize quickly that Krusher has a little inside game himself, with the ability to rough him up.

Do you have comprehension skills? I meant Hopkins is a better H2H LHW than Dawson with the entire competition at 175 IMO Not actually just H2H WITH Dawson! The division in it's entirety! Of course i know he lost.. What i mean is Dawson would have lost to more LHW's than Hopkins in a H2H sense.

He was able to beat Bhop (a fighter known to struggle with fast athletic, skilled fighters like Dawson.. Calzaghe, Kovalev, RJJ, Taylor, even ODH for large parts! Overall though Bhop was more succesful at LHW, greater fighter & would match up better with the elite at 175 better than Dawson IMO

Pascal, Stevenson, Beterbiev, Eleider Alvarez, Oleksandr Gvozdyk, Andre Ward, Vyacheslav Shabransky, Bivol, Chilemba, Fonfara etc.. I think Bhop would be more succesful against that lot! Dawson barely beat Diaconu, got whooped by Pascal & lost to Karpency ffs! He was great at fighting ageing fighters but was a fragile fighter himself & when matched with the younger guns he mostly struggled or just flat out lost. That is reality..
