GGG stops him. He cuts off the ring too well and walks through joe's slappy punches. If you can't get ggg's respect you won't beat him. Bad style match up for joe.

      Of course, GGG beats everybody.

Ggg would laugh at calzaghez's girly slaps and walk right through him.

              Fascinating match-up. 60:40 Gennady IMO.

Well I don't think GGG is Jeff Lacy mark II by any means but Joe was a great adapter in the ring and the guy was fast, very fast for a SMW and we know that speed is not Golovkins favourite thing. Perhaps the best comparison, though it's by no means perfect is Calzaghe vs Kessler.

For now - until we've seen how Golovkin looks at 168 or seen him in with an elite fighter - I have to go with Slappin' Joe.

That's a close match-up IMO. I'm not sure Calzaghe could take GGG's punches down the stretch. However, I think he gives him problems all night. His work rate and ability to slip punches serves him well here. If it goes the distance, probably a close decision for GGG with a swollen and cut Calzaghe at the end. I don't know. It's hard to count Calzaghe out and since this prime for prime, his hands wouldn't be so bad and his punches wouldn't all be slaps. So I would bet on GGG but it's a close one.
