Jim Lampley is simply a tool. Perhaps he is upset at the fact that his company would shortly be out of business soon and he'll be out of a job; Due to the PBC's new business model. While HBO continues its struggles in finding new ways to compete and being forced to constantly cut back on its boxing programming budget in the process.

Basically dissed pbc...saying it takes more than a bunch of money and network tv time to be successful. Said they don't put on competitive fights and are getting their time slots dropped by nbc and have nothing scheduled on major network tv for the rest of the year. Pretty well made it sound like pbc is finished, and said it was predictable that it wouldn't be a success. It was ironic listening to him criticize pbc for putting their top talent in noncompetitive fights with predictable outcomes tho.

Yeah HBO hasn't had 2 competitive matches in last 2 years.

Literally only competitive fight was Ali vs Vargas. PBC flopped but not cause HBO8s good.

As of right now, HBO has no ground to stand on. They can't even may a Golovkin vs Canelo fight happen. Not to mention BOTH those guys had horrible fights that didn't belong on HBO this year. IN FACT, Golovkin had 2.

It was a pretty ironic rant it made me chuckle. Gonzalez-Cuadras was a pretty good fight but PBC has had the better shows all year.
