Ten years ago, Floyd-GGG would have been an interesting fight. Floyd would have the legs to stay away and pot shot for 12RDS. Or at least until GGG tired out and was no longer a threat. But at his age now, Floyd basically would have to rely on making GGG miss in the pocket all night. Which would be tough because he would still be getting hit on the arms, shoulders, and with some body punches. Or, he would have to keep GGG honest with his power, which is unlikely. The only Floyd beats him now is withthe Bernard Hopkins hit and grab strategy. Because Floyd grappling with GGG is gonna tired him out in 6-7RDS, and then he'd be a sitting duck.

Sure danny has taken a couple of soft fights, but he still has a better resume than most current champions, and age is on his side too. He'd be forced to take those fights that can elevelate him to legend status. If he wins them is another story. But a fighter like GGG, while it's clear he's the best MW ATM. He doesn't seem eager to make the necessary sacrifice to make the big fights. Yet fans still protect him more than Oscar does Canelo.

Necessary sacrifices? You mean giving into these crazy demands that benefits his opponent more than himself? Golovkin doesn't have to do that and it's ridiculous anybody would support that.

I dunno man, I think 50-50, 168 against ward was reasonable. Obviously Canelo tried to low ball him with that offer, but at the end of the day GGG needs Canelo more Canelo needs him.
