That's not to be bragged on, though.

I personally wouldn't consider Brook to be GGG's toughest fight. Sure, he received more damage than we're use to seeing, but GGG made it clear during the build up that he intended on turning it into a WSHH type of affair.

I get your point though, Floyd could have taken on a few more difficult fights towards the end of his career. No doubt about that, but the man changed his name to money may not crowd pleaser mayweather, so you can't really be surprised. I also feel like if most fighters had the power Floyd did, they'd make similar moves. I mean, even fighters with promoters are more interested in taking quick money fights against weaker opposition.
Obviously...Floyd bring that safety first mentality to boxing.

Watch Pac because he's maybe the last true warrior we could witness in boxing.

Now, we are left with the Danny Garcias of the world.

Ten years ago, Floyd-GGG would have been an interesting fight. Floyd would have the legs to stay away and pot shot for 12RDS. Or at least until GGG tired out and was no longer a threat. But at his age now, Floyd basically would have to rely on making GGG miss in the pocket all night. Which would be tough because he would still be getting hit on the arms, shoulders, and with some body punches. Or, he would have to keep GGG honest with his power, which is unlikely. The only Floyd beats him now is withthe Bernard Hopkins hit and grab strategy. Because Floyd grappling with GGG is gonna tired him out in 6-7RDS, and then he'd be a sitting duck.

No, Floyd busted his ass early on in his career and made smart business choices towards the end. Barring Guerrero, Berto fights, I am satisfied with the level of comp he fought. You can argue Pac also had a safety first mentality with the catchweights he used win belts at 47/54. Funny enough though, he gets more recogntion for beatig fighters Floyd already defeated. He's a great fighter, a legend, but Floyd was better boxer and also has the better resume.
Sure danny has taken a couple of soft fights, but he still has a better resume than most current champions, and age is on his side too. He'd be forced to take those fights that can elevelate him to legend status. If he wins them is another story. But a fighter like GGG, while it's clear he's the best MW ATM. He doesn't seem eager to make the necessary sacrifice to make the big fights. Yet fans still protect him more than Oscar does Canelo.
