I'm not knocking him. It's his career and prerogative to do what is in his best interest to do for himself and his family. I'm just saying that when there were times Mayweather could have opened up just a bit more offensively for stoppages he simply chose not to for whatever reason.Floyd took plenty of risks, he was just superior to the opposition and dominated. Why are you criticizing him for that?
Whenever an opponent didn't foolishly try to outbox him you had a great fight. Whenever an opponent mailed it in like Canelo or Manny, you got terrible fights. Why would you blame Floyd when his opponent stops fighting.
Its as if you wanted Floyd to fight recklessly to increase his chances of losing. I don't think you'd ask anyone else to do that.
For instance, I thought in both the Carlos Baldomir and Shane Mosley bouts, he could have settled down on his punches just a little more and got them both out of there but he refused; He was too defensive. Perhaps it was due in part of the fear of being countered by a punch he didn't see or he simply had hand problems.
In any case, they both looked like they were ready to surrender and throw in the white towel but Money May simply chose to carry them. Once history records his career, it could very well come back to haunt his legacy.Comment

they also ignore that he admitted, it was their fault that negotiations fell through the first time....why? drug testing and cut off dates
if you know when the testing stops, its not "random"....Comment

Oh stfu Pacquiao.
We can all blame Mayweather for ducking and diving Pacquiao for 5 plus years, we can all blame him for diffusing what it means to be a fighter and we can all blame him for being a ***** but let's get real here:
Mayweather, last May, did what he has always done. Run, jab, poke his right hand and clinch but Pacquiao, post round 4, refused to push the action. He threw less punches than almost every other fight in his career. Injuries aside, he didn't push because he saw his 150 mill paycheck and was satisfied. He lost the lion in him for the dollar. He should be ashamed.Comment

proves what i was saying. he's been boo'd only when he backs away. like in the canelo fight at times. thats all im saying here. nothing more.Comment

proves what i said. in the pac fight he was way more defensive since manny was just as fast. thats all. nothing more.Floyd has stalked (he did so early in the Pacman fight), stood and traded (Cotto fight), fought off the ropes (Maidana), as well as technically boxed. It's all based on the opponent and their strengths. Manny was not as aggressive as you indicate though. That was painfully obvious.Comment

If your going to believe in Freddy.
Then you also have to believe what he said here too.
You can't just believe in one thing without the other buddy.
Enjoy!

A piece of the article:
By: JERRY IZENBERG
Roach: "Look, if he means it about retiring, then more power to him, He's earned it. But if he changes his mind after what I saw tonight, yes, I would encourage him and I would not hesitate to train him again.
"When I see Manny Pacquiao like that, this is the best Manny Pacquiao. He hasn't missed a beat. I would like to see him fight again."
And there are big fights out there for him. Canelo Alvarez and Amir Kahn would draw big numbers. And then, of course, anybody who understands boxing knows that when Pacquiao tore his shoulder before and during the Mayweather fight, nothing — absolutely nothing — was truly settled on that night.

I want to see a rematch, but it's up to Floyd.Last edited by Zaroku; 10-04-2016, 11:40 AM.Comment
