The media keeps adding fuel to the fire. This is why boxing is becoming unpopular. There are top fighters who now fight once a year, but the media would rather focus on the same fighter/s day in and day out.

"Ward is in his head. The mental games are starting to get to Kovalev. He said he only watched two of Ward fights but those two he was ringside while Ward has never attended a Kovalev fight. Unless he attended one while he was a commentator which I don't recall"

LOL you really think that??? Kovalev literally is going into this fight with no chance in hell ward can huurt him. I honestly think ward is shook

Ward is a confused individual. He knew he got fat and can no longer make 168, yet he keeps talking about small Golovkin. This is the same guy who promised to become a future heavyweight champion.

This fight will play out in one of two ways. Kovalev by knockout or decision by Ward

I have no idea what Ward's IQ is but I'd bet my house it's higher than yours.

not true at all. why can't kov win by decision? this type of mentality gives the advantage to ward and people will score the roudns to him simply because he's not getting knocked out. same exact thing happened in floyd-pac. people said pac will win by ko or floyd by decision yet it was pac who was outboxing floyd and landing the much cleaner punches while floyd's came up short or didn't connect very clean yet he was still given rounds because he was in control whatever that means. dont know how you can be in control when your opponent is landing more and better punches but when you go into a fight with a preconcieved notion of how it will play out you will effect how you see it.

kov has outboxed better opponents than ward so im not sure why ward gets the super amazing boxer label and not kov. hopkins, pascal, and chilemba are more skillfull boxers than kessler, froch, and abraham. those guys are all very predictable, they are tough and they have power but they don't have the skills/movement/timing of the guys kovalev beat.

Looks like he cares to me.

Sergey Kovalev’s light heavyweight championship against Andre Ward on Nov. 19 on HBO PPV is perhaps the best matchup that boxing can offer at the moment.

Sergey Kovalev’s light heavyweight championship against Andre Ward on Nov. 19 on HBO PPV is perhaps the best matchup that boxing can offer at the moment.

Wednesday’s press conference, when Kovalev indicated he was upset with Ward for apparently snubbing his attempt to shake hands or say hello before the two met on stage for the start of the press gathering.

“I respect this guy, yes,” Kovalev told a small group of reporters on Wednesday. “But when I saw him this morning, he didn’t even say to me, ‘Hi.’ F-k him. I will always have respect (outside the ring) and in the ring I will use all my power to kick his ass.”

Asked a follow-up to describe the brief encounter and exactly what happened, Kovalev responded tersely, “I don’t know, I said ‘Hi.’ He didn’t say to me, ‘Hi.’ And he passed straight (in front of me). What happened? Nothing?”
