Again, there's good fights for him at MW.
It looks like he'll be fighting Jacobs in December, and a fight with BJS looks like a real possibility. Then we may be able to see the Canelo fight at some point next year.
At the moment, the best SMW's are tied up.
There's nothing wrong with him trying to accomplish his MW goals.
Let's see what happens in within the next 12 months before we criticise him.
It's illogical for him to challenge the winner of Ward and Kov at this stage. And Bernard would never have done that in GG's current position.Comment

Take a close look at what he really did at 175 tho...full credit for tarver, but other than that what's his best win there? Pascal? Cloud? His record is riddled with losses there too. He deserves credit for moving up and winning belts...but he lost to the best he faced at that weight.Comment

if you can't see K2 is keeping GGG far away from risks until cashing in with canelo....then you are dumb
ever since Martinez lost the title, and its been with Cotto or Canelo, GGG has been fed a canned food diet.
trashes canelo for fighting khan then does the same thing.
Hopefully he has to fight Jacobs because if he didnt it wouldve been another Wade, Odama, Rubio level guy
getting used to the CANS.
He only took on Kell as a last minute replacement.Comment

I hate the hype as much as you, but we have to be fair.

I'm about tired of people comparing Golovkin to Hagler. They are nothing alike. Hagler was ducked because he was black, a southpaw, and good. Golovkin is ducked because the division is weak af and there are a million belts to win. Practically everyone is a title holder. Fighters like Lemieux wouldn't have been title holders in Hagler's era. He wouldn't even have gotten a shot. Willie Monroe and Bobby Watts would be title holders today no doubt about it. Hagler methodically beat guys up and stopped them. Golovkin has trouble with a welterweight with 1 good win on his record. The Ray Leonard from the Hagler fight would box Golovkin's ears off.
Maybe Golovkin is the watered down version of Hagler...just maybe. But no way should he ever be mentioned in the same breath unless he starts doing great things. Moving up would be one because he isn't going to get any fights at middleweight.Comment
