I think this is true. I also think Golovkin thinks it's true. This is precisely why he wants to beat everyone in the MW division first. He's repeatedly said that this is his goal. Once that happens then a discussion about him moving up is warranted. If he does move up and has a continued unblemished record the boxing historians will undoubtedly be kind and call him one of the greatest fighters of all time. He's got some work to do before that.

Ouma was a keep busy fight when he was coming up.

Ouma had fought at MW before.

He didn't have a bleed on the brain, but he was kept in hospital as a precaution.

Roy was a prospect when Hops fought him? Love Roy but that's a new twist. They were ranked #1 and #2 by the IBF and were fighting for the vacant title. And Roy was a heavy favorite to win.

The point is, in 1993, Bernard didn't agree to fight the version of Roy Jones who was considered the best fighter in the world.

His greatness is magnified cuz of the age...but as far as opposition and wins vs losses at 175...it's really not that impressive. I was a big hopkins fan just cuz of his skills and know how...but it's hard to get over that post tito period where he fought **** fights on hbo and then lost to taylor. I was pissed watching those fights...he bought into his own hype that he was this cerebral tactician, and forgot what got him there. Watching him do almost nothing against taylor made me sick.

Moving up in weight and winning the WBC,WBA,IBF,RING(2 TIMES) AND LINEAL TITLE is impressive at any age man...and none of those were handed to him, he won ALL int he ring
