He was giving his opinion, not critiquing the ranking, or the ranking system.

It's not a new thing for a fighter to go up a weight division and immediately be considered the best fighter or one of the best fighters in that division without even having a fight at that weight, its just conjecture or opinion.

In Ward's case he has had a pretty solid fight in Barrera and two soft touches but I think I can confidently say that most people would put him at least top 3.

Not at all. As a lot of people have said before he is a hybrid of a few fighters. The first thing I would say is he is a converted southpaw which makes him balanced totally differently to B-hop. He also carries more natural speed in his hands, feet, movement in general. I would say Bernard is a better puncher and a touch better defensively.

They are comparable but only if you compare Bernard from his mid to late 30's to Ward, anything after that and Ward is the superior fighter as B-hop drops out of his prime so not a fair comparison.
