kovalev hasn't been in there with anybody near the skill set of Ward. Yet Ward has been in there with guys that hit just as hard if not hard than kovalev. and none of them could do anything to Ward.

ward had all his fights in his home country and most in his home town. he clearly should have been dq'd against kessler, maybe bika as well. clinching headbutt wonderland. meanwhile froch fought in 4 countries and froch-dirrell proves my point. froch was the home fighter and got the decision, just like he didn't in denmark in a close fight. if ward had gone to other countries he might have lost a decision, been dq'd etc...but he was always a-side in every fight and that worked massively to his advantage. ward himsefl knows this since he refused to join without having every fight in the usa.

That's why I respect white fighters like Golovkin and Kovalev who voluntarily fight in the USA almost everytime. They are basically accepting the road game because they want their achievement to stand out even more.

I personally won't give Ward any credit if he beats Kovalev because Nevada borders California.

for sure. they weren't lucky to be born in the usa like ward/floyd. if they were born in kazakshtan how popular would they be in the states...oh yeah they would be rigo. they stand out more because they have to. if they were boring clinchers like those guys they would be deported and they dont want to go home.
