Tough, tough call. The thing is, people seem to believe Ward isn't that good. I disagree. He's probably the smartest fighter atm. Roy was a physically gifted fighter on so many different levels, but Ward is one of the most mentally gifted. To me it's a tossup. We've seen what happens/happened to Roy, Ward hasn't been there yet and when he was dropped, he found a way to win.

I have Andre Ward winning easy. As fast as Roy was, he could never catch Ward leading with hooks and uppercuts like he did in his heyday. Ward is just too good defensively and has razor sharp reflexes. Roy was never the smartest fighter either and I could see him trying the same thing over and over until he eventually got tired and frustrated.

C'mon dawgs! Was this thread even necessary? No one comes close to beating a primed Roy Jones, Jr between 168-175lb. He was the Michael Jordan of his time and the boxing ring. He done things in there that no other boxing has done before his time.

Ward gives him about as good a fight as anyone could give prime Roy, but it's still prime Roy. I highly doubt Ward is capable of beating a fighter that good. Few are.

Roy wins every round and possibly stops Ward. Ward is a good fighter but he isnt close to Roys level.
