See Roy vs. McCallum, Roy vs. Hop, Roy vs Toney, Roy vs. Griffin. ALLLLLL of those guys were amazing technicians. It didnt matter. Roy was THAT good. THAT gifted. Only person id almost pick 50/50 with Roy in that era is a prime Floyd if they were the same size. He wasnt as gifted but he was still one of the most gifted technicians ever and he was wayyyyy more technically sound. I think Id still ride with Roy tho. Roy was scary. Probably the most gifted fighter in history tbh.
Andre Ward vs Prime Roy Jones @168-175

I agree with almost everything, but Jones had a rough time with Griffin in the first fight.A prime Roy Jones never had any close fights. He always won with ease and usually by KO. I think Ward would just be another easy KO win for Roy Jones. Ward was knocked down and hurt by a boxer who lost half his fights. He wouldn't survive a prime Roy Jones in my opinion. Ward is one of the best fighters of today. Jones was one of the best of all time.Comment

as soon as rjj went to hw, his career was never the same. and he had an easy time beating up ruiz. i bet he would not go hw if he could do it over again.Comment

Jones wins a wide UD.
Ward probably hits the canvas, but I can't see him getting stopped. Once he sees Roy's speed and feels his power, he'll slip into defensive mode and do enough to survive.Comment

Jones even mops the floor with someone as good as Ward.
It would look similar to the Toney fight, he's just entirely too good and too fast.Comment

If i'm not mistaken, wasn't that Boone? He also dropped Kovalev and knocked out Adonis Stevenson. He might be one of the most dangerous journeymen ever. No shame in getting dropped by Boone in your 6th fight really.Comment

Roy wins but I don't agree it would be a walk in the park, it'd probably be one of those where he clearly won but didn't look amazing.Comment
