-IF- Floyd was intimidated, it was mainly because a fist fight on slippery shoes and marble floors could cause him a multi-million dollar fight with dela Hoya should he get a cut or injury.

Plus, he looked intimidated to some of you because he was sitting down and -Floyd knew if he stood up- Antonio could mistakenly view this as hostile and throw a punch.

Floyd was smart to stay down and speak with the interpreter to get the guy away.

People on hear use to say that he was classless and he was a thug etc. He's doing an interview what was he suppose to do? I think him not acting dumb in the Judah melee and acting respectful with his split with Arum are obvious signs. He knows him and Oscar got there deal 4 Sept or he wouldn't of left Arum so abruptly. And he realizes that he's gonna be the top dawg in boxing and for financial and legacy issues he's tryna be more SRL or ODH then a negative figure that rubs ppl the wrong way! Look at how he loves the media and Arum and they're part of his family all of a sudden etc. all part of the transformation!

Margarito deserves his shot. But I would much rather see Floyd VS Oscar first.

He didnt say when i beat him down the line he'll be bigger and better, but he did say if as if he knew he would beat him hands down. I didnt see any intimidation, he didnt even seem nervous at all. He didnt even get up, it smore easy to get mopped sitting down. And Floyd is probably right, when he beats Margarito, margarito will be bigger and better like Castillo and corrales are now.

Oscar doesn't even know if he wants to fight and the signs are that he might not fight Floyd. The negotiations for that fight are very tough and you have a four month window for it to happen.

Floyd needs to answer why he hasn't fought a physical fighter like Castillo or Margarito since those Castillo fights.

If the DLH fight can be made, it's the best thing for Floyd and a huge event for boxing, but Margarito has to figure in that very soon afterwards for Floyd or it is going to start taking the piss.
He fought N'dou, Corely & Gatti which all 3 are pretty much aggressive fighters in someway. Not every fighter is aggressive, so what's your point. He's beaten many aggressive fighters in the past like Chavez, Castillo twice, Hernandez, Chico etc!!

If Margarito really wants this fight, then he needs to fight Zab or Hatton, to make a name for himself.

The Margarito PPV fight did less then 5000, I guess all of his Mexican supporters didn't support him for his $19.99 cheap PPV.

Once again, someone makes this incorrect assertion without a source. Here's what I wrote in a thread less than a month ago:

That figure is off, and I'd love to see your source.

Steve Kim reported in February that the "Real Warriors" card did over 50,000 buys. While this is much less in comparison to other megafights, this was much more than what Top Rank needed to make money on the event. I will happily provide a link if requested, and I wish more people would responsibly source their assertions on here.

Also, I think a lot of people may be giving one party too much credit on the 350,000 buys. Mayweather would not have drawn in that amount of people just facing any welterweight. I believe that, except in the case of the ultrastars who draw viewers no matter what, buyrates are either the product of a match-up of a big name and another name big enough to make it a fight of interest, as well as a decent undercard; or the freak show factor -- after all, Tyson/McBride did decent numbers in today's era of buyrates, although far less than the numbers that Tyson fights did in their heyday.

Mayweather-Judah did well because it was marketed very effectively. But Mayweather should not consider himself a PPV draw just yet. Gatti-Mayweather was a result of both Gatti's faithful following and the intrigue of the conflicting styles and the expectation of a dramatic massacre. But if Mayweather thinks that he could face someone on the level of a Henry Bruseles on PPV and get away with it (like some of the Jones and De La Hoya shows in years past), his marketing is not yet there. Don't forget all the empty seats for Mayweather-Mitchell.

Floyd is now a nice guy generating good publicity.
Yeah, he didn't do that because he didn't want to get hit at a press conference.

margarito would do what Bowe did to larry donald, to pbf at a press conference. big size and power advantage, it hurts when the gloves come off.
