New zealand fighter that fights almost exclusively in NZ, on course to for two possible belts dependant on WBO stripping Fury... more chance of seeing a Ricky Burns becoming undisputed super lightweight champ than Parker getting disqualified today
w t f do you think Joshua , wilder , have done they only fight in there country for ****s sake , so you hold it against a new Zealand fighter for starting his career in his own country ??? if parker was an American fighter he would get way more credit , and as for the dq against him don't be taken in the guy was getting pummeled and looked for a way out anyone believing he was that hurts an asshat.
What a ****in disgraceful effort from Dimi - he mentally vacated, again. First rule of boxing, protect yourself at all times. This does not mean clinch someone after getting wobbled (after 3 previous knock-downs) then take a knee while you're in the clinch! If you're holding on to a fighter, you're going to get hit.
And taking a knee on the opposite side of the ref.
The ref was an idiot, and it was a poor ending for him. Almost as poor as Dimis effort - he dead set quit in the middle of the ring.
Not sure how Parker is meant to stop punching the guy when he's being held onto still. It's fighters instinct.
Either way, it was no more than a glorified sparring session for Parker. Dimi was taking falls as soon as he realised he was getting hit bloody hard. Some of the replays of those uppercuts were brutal.
No heart in Dimi, nothing new there. Parker walks through another fighter, nothing new there.
Parker is a prospect and has better win's than either AJ or Wilder + he has a lot of room to improve, faster feet, faster hands and IMO a better chin.
He beat (drum roll) Frans Botha among several other failures, and has a couple of decent wins elsewhere. He has room to improve indeed; but he won't, or at least not as much as you believe. He lacks the natural talent.
Being athletic and having a big punch only takes you so far (yes they are world champs, but have beaten NO-ONE)
Agreed on Joshua (let me tell you, I'm not a cheerleader for him but still believe he has some talent). Wilder has already defeated a semi-good fighter in Bermane Stiverne, who on his day would give Parker hell IMO.
Wilder is a modern day Michael Grant
Joshua Is a modern day Frank Bruno.
Wilder is less clumsy and more effective than Grant, who was not fit for boxing to begin with; just a big trunk waiting to be chopped down. Bruno was slow as molasses, Joshua looks better than him right now, but my own jury is still out in spite of what I wrote above. In a word, I'm not entirely convinced about AJ's genuine greatness, but as of now he definitely looks better than JP to me.

Not quite sure why you mentioned botha...are you trying to say that's his best win?
it's ironic, you mention parker as 'lacking natural talent' which is exactly what i see in AJ and wilder, both IMO are less technically skilled than parker, both are more flat footed than parker and both seem to be big athletic guy's who happened to fall into boxing for different reasons, both look forced to me.
Before you respond with ' but parker xyz doe' i am aware he is not defensively blessed, etc but neither is wilder or AJ (even more so IMO) AJ is stiff as a robot and wilder does a bizarre jump back in straight lines with his hands in the air, it really is ridiculous.
The fact is, he has already shown improvement from the takam fight, his inside game and head movement are much much better, and still only 24.
Wilder and grant are the same in my book, both huge men, both technically unskilled, both huge punchers, both dodgy chin's, both american etc.
Bruno and AJ less so, Joshua has shown more power and very slightly faster hand's, but the clear similarities are there to see.
Stirverne on his day is a C level fighter, he is a plodder, with limited skill's, Takam is a much better and tougher test than stirverne would of ever been.
Joshua and Hearn don't want this work, easy to tell why on his last few performances too. The Brits must have been praying he picked up a cut so they could dodge Parker and Klitschko line up another cream puff for November, still doubt either happens for AJ in November Hearn be desperate to throw Price in front of Parker to curb his natural aggression and undaunted instinct to come forward and unload.
Parker should refuse the undercard fight and demand Joshua right now, force his mandatory. He's coming for that IBF title.

It's pretty terrible that Hearn is insisting Parker fights Price first - as price comes off beating a guy with a 22-31 record.
Let's get on with the real fight and stop screwing around with the garbage - like Price and his creampuff lead-ins.
