Morales Hands Down IMO.
Who was the greatest- marquez, barrera or morales?

Marquez has the best resume out of the three in my opinion. He isn't the knock out, drag out fighter that Barrera and Morales were but in my opinion he was the most intelligent out of the three. Barrera could never beat Pacquiao, Morales beat Pacquiao once and was destroyed by him two times after, and Marquez arguably beat Pacquiao multiple times.
My list would be:
1) Marquez
2) Morales
3) BarreraComment

Morales. Incredible fighter with a great resume. I think he's the one of these three with the best career if you take away their chief rival.Comment

Not true...marquez was on the radar at 126, hamed was avoiding him. You forgot casamayor...the lineal champion at the time. Would you rather he tried to cherrypick a title off david diaz? His ko of pac at ww can't be erased...that's a bigger achievement than anything on barrera or morales resume. Without that...I'd give the nod to morales tho. That bottom line isn't true because by the time JMM even became a semi-name at FW, Barrera and Morales weren't even at the weight.
In terms of LW, what did he clear out exactly? He had 3 fights at the weight ,2 against the same guy, one against a faded Katsidis, who was hardly a world beater in his prime anyway.
This is not to say Marquez was bad. He was a terrific fighter, one of the very best this century but there are levels of achievements, history and glory and Morales/MAB trump Marquez in that aspect.
Like I said, no one would even know who JMM is if Pac didn't keep giving him paydays.Comment

Marquez is my favorite but objectively speaking, i have to say Morales.
Morales is a born fighter, a natural fighter.
His win over a prime Pacman trumps anything marquez/barrera ever did.Comment

Barrera actually beat him after that and you new fans sleep on what Prince was.Comment
